About Timothy Singhel

Timothy SinghelAttorney Timothy Singhel settled in Nashville in 2011 after enjoying an early career that took him from New York to Minnesota and beyond. He has served clients in diverse areas of the law, including all aspects of labor and employment law, compliance management, and commercial contract negotiation.  He holds a Juris Doctorate from one of the most prestigious universities in the country.

Timothy Singhel grew up on Long Island, New York, and earned his undergraduate degree in History and Political Science from Colgate University. Although he excelled in high school, Timothy Singhel says he quickly learned that there was much more to the world when he entered college. He credits his professors and fellow students for nurturing a lifelong passion for knowledge.

After graduation, Timothy Singhel was accepted into law school at the College of William and Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. As a self-professed history buff, access to Colonial Williamsburg was an added bonus for the young scholar. Performing in the top of his class, Timothy Singhel excelled in academics and also served as Editor for the Law Review.

Timothy Singhel decided he would take an alternate path after graduation rather than jump right into practice with a big firm in order to focus on gaining the practical knowledge he felt he needed to succeed. After two prestigious federal court clerkships, Timothy Singhel accepted his first position with a law firm at Rains & Pogrebin, a small boutique labor and employment firm in his hometown, where he could work one-on-one with businesses and local municipalities, and help shape policies. He moved on to Holland & Knight so he could hone his expertise at a top international law firm.  After six years, Timothy Singhel relocated to Minnesota where he served for a year as Chief Labor and Employment Law Counsel and Associate General Counsel for Covalence Specialty Materials (later Berry Plastics). He left Berry Plastics to pursue various consulting relationships with Medtronic, McQuay International, and St. Jude Medical.

With an unrivaled expertise in labor and employment law, corporate compliance, and commercial contract drafting and negotiation, Timothy Singhel joined Noranda in 2011. This role allowed him to expand upon his knowledge in diverse areas of the law and be part of a highly functioning and collaborative team that navigated Noranda through extensive corporate challenges.

Today, Timothy Singhel is ready for another move, this time to a company where he can leverage his expertise as a strategic enterprise leader in order to help a dynamic and mission-driven company grow and develop for the long-term. He is excited about the next chapter in his career.

Timothy Singhel resides in Brentwood, Tennessee, a suburb just south of Nashville. He and wife Beverly have been married for sixteen years and have three children.
